Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Steve agreed to rebuild my 2019 6 speed Tremec TR6060 manual transmission as I was experiencing some vibrations and the gear box was noisy. I asked that he do a full rebuild, replacing all the syncros, bearings, including the throw out and pilot bearings. He took the whole gear box apart, and after several months realized he didn't remember how it went back together. I was able to locate an mechanics manual on the specific gear box on ebay, and brought it to him for reference. This helped a bit, but he still had questions on how to put it all back together. He eventually got it all together, only to realize that it is not shifting correctly, popping out of gear, etc.. He had to remove it, take it apart, and change around gears that were installed backwards. This had to be done 2 or 3 times before he determined it was correct. Cost was $3500. When I picked it up I realized it was still making the same noises, and he said that he forgot to install the pilot and throw out bearings. I brought it back and since it had to be taken out again it cost another $1200, but was still making the same noises it made from the beginning. The vibration was gone, but now it made a loud gea

Steve is the most honest man I've ever met. I didn't need the work, he told me what it was in 2 minutes. He could have raked me over the coals and did not. I didn't think there was anyone left on earth like him. ❀️❀️❀️

Steve was fantastic, took my call, saw my vehicle the same day, assessed and fixed my worn out "U" something part. For a lady and appreciating having my hand held with results executed The quote was very fair and worth my new peace of mind. Thank you Steve and Morgan, your time is invaluable and your both sweeties!!

Steve is a down to earth person with quality values. I needed the transfer case planetary gears replaced and while he was waiting for the parts he even cleaned up the transmission. The cost got my wallet in ways that hurt, but still, Steve charged me a fair price for his service. I hope I won't need him again, but I'll choose his shop if I ever do.

Steve is a very honest guy, I took my 57 Bel-Air to him for a transmission leak that a different transmission Shop said was irreparable. He fixed it in 15 minutes and at an unbelievable price.
